WORCESTER’S fire station will be opening its doors to residents this Saturday for its annual fun-packed open day.
There will be a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy including fire engine rides and an aerial appliance demonstration, whilst firefighters will demonstrate how and what equipment they would use to rescue casualties from a road traffic collision.
The event is free and the McKenzie Way station will be opening its doors from 10am until 4pm.
Residents will have the chance to have a first-hand look at the impressive equipment and vehicles as well as meet the local firefighters, police and Community First Responders.
Representatives from Highways England, Fortis Housing, Headway, Saving Hearts, Young Firefighters Association and Urban Search and Rescue will also be there.
Visitors will be able to indulge in refreshments from a barbecue, ice cream van and cold and hot drinks which will be on sale throughout the day.
