Colleagues ready to pedal up charity cash

AN INTREPID group of work colleagues from Worcester are set to tackle a mammoth cycling challenge to raise funds for a blind charity.

Nine members of staff from Dolphin, which develops and distributes assistive technologies for the blind and vision impaired, are gearing up to take part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 in August.

The event will see three of the cyclists, who are visually impaired, ride in tandem with their other colleagues during the 100mile course as they bid to generate funds for Blind Veterans UK.

Victoria Marshall, events officer at the charity, said: “We’re so excited that a team from Dolphin are cycling Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 this year and really grateful for their support in this event.

“Having vision impaired people taking part just shows that anyone can take on this challenge and cycle 100 miles and raise funds for Blind Veterans UK.”
