Chill time is making staff feel fine

Worcester Editorial 6th Feb, 2019   0

CHILLOUT sessions aimed at reducing busy workers’ potentially dangerous stress levels will be launched in Worcester.

Hosted by communications company Chris Green Media, Feelgood Fridays will offer a blissful blend of mindfulness, meditation, head and shoulder massage, crystal therapy and poetry workshops for both men and women. Healthy refreshments will also be provided.

CGM managing partner Chris Green said: “We see a lot of business people worn down by the pressures of hectic schedules, tight deadlines and the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Brexit.

“That’s why we’re encouraging employers in the county to not just talk a good game about caring for their staff but to make a positive commitment to improving their wellbeing in 2019 and beyond.”

Worcestershire-based specialist practitioners including Jennie Webster and Vanessa Edmonds of The Zen Den in Stourport, experienced meditation teacher Mandi Bishop and the county’s poet laureate emeritus Maggie Doyle will deliver different elements of the two-hour event.

Attendees can also shape their own bespoke wellbeing session.

“Research tells us that creating a culture of wellness can drive results by helping to build an engaged workforce,” said Mandi Bishop.

“Our monthly sessions can help to de-stress people so they are able to return to work with a spring in their step and ready to face fresh challenges.”

The first Feelgood Friday will be held at CGM Media Centre in Blackpole East, Worcester, on Friday (February 8) from 10am to midday.
