Centre wants to hear your views

Worcester Editorial 17th Mar, 2017   0

A LOWER Ronkswood community centre is opening its doors to city residents in a bid to provide activities and services which matter to local people.

Caring staff at the Medway Community Centre are holding an open morning on Saturday (March 18) from 11am to 1pm.

City residents are invited to visit and air their views on what activities and services they would like to see at the Medway Road venue.

After a recent refurbishment, Victoria Cooper and Simone Montgomery would now like ideas on how they can take the centre forward.

“This is a new project being overseen by Worcester Action for Youth (CIO) who have occupied the office space, within the building, for many years,” Victoria said.

“We have been going door-to-door asking local residents what they would like to see at the centre and so far people feel very positive to be seeing the re-opening of the centre.

“It is a really exciting opportunity for residents of Worcester to enjoy a range of activities from the centre,” she added.

The centre currently offers a Youth Club on a Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm and the centre hopes to provide further activities for adults and children in future.

Refreshments and activities will be on offer for everyone at the open morning.

Anyone looking for space to deliver fitness classes, start adult educations courses, play group hire or party hire can call 01905 350550 or e-mail [email protected] for more information.
