GREAT Malvern Farmers’ Market has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

The event is through to the final of the ‘Farmers’ Market of the Year’ category in the 2023 National Farm Retail Awards.

The final will take place on March 7 at Sandy Park in Exeter.

The Malvern event, which boasts local produce, is up against Moseley and Cliftonville farmers’ markets.

The competition is run by The Farm Retail Association.

Boffy Arts, Events and People has been running the farmers’ market with Malvern Hills District Council for four years.

Steve Boffy said: “We are extremely proud to be shortlisted again for this prestigious award.

“My wife and I have worked hard to create a market that celebrates quality produce of the highest standard.”

He added they had a great team of local traders and enjoyed the support of Malvern shoppers and visitors alike and were pleased to have their efforts recognised for a second time.

Coun Daniel Walton, Malvern Hills District Council’s portfolio holder for tourism and economic development, added the area was lucky to be able to hold this important event which encouraged residents and visitors to shop local, support the district’s traders and showcase home-grown produce.
