Carol concert spreads the cheer

STAFF from the city’s Sanctuary Group filled the air with festive cheer as they held a charity Christmas carol concert.

A 25-strong choir treated colleagues to two performances of traditional carols which brought the festive season to life.

Staff also dressed in their favourite festive clothing as they raised almost £300 for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The carol concert was part of the Group’s year-long commitment to Acorns as its ‘Charity of the Year’, which is seeing the charity benefit from a range of fund-raising activities by Worcester-based staff.

David Bennett, Sanctuary Group chief executive, said: “The choir’s performance was inspiring, and staff really entered the Christmas spirit by joining in with the carols.

“Christmas is a time for families and friends, and I’m delighted that we were able to use the carol concert as an opportunity to raise vital funds for Acorns and the hundreds of people they support at this special time of year.”
