AN EVENT held at Worcester Cathedral for people looking for care and support has been hailed a success.

Worcestershire Community Micro-enterprise Project recently hosted its inaugural ‘Community Connect’ event at the Cathedral’s Chapter House.

The afternoon drop-in session saw small community groups who provide care options for the elderly and people with disabilities showcasing their work.

The micro-enterprise project is run by Community Catalysts in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.




The event was also supported by the University of Worcester, who have provided joint networking opportunities through Worcester Enterprise, where local business starters get the opportunity to speak with entrepreneurs and students.

Sian Lockwood, chief executive of Community Catalysts said: “The event had two key themes. Firstly it helped providers of small care services to showcase what they do and secondly it got them help from mentors and volunteers.


“It was a great success and we will be building on the event with a follow-up session towards the end of March.”
