A SLICE of £75million is set to be injected into Worcester by a leading UK housebuilder in a bid to generate hundreds of jobs.
Persimmon Homes’ South Midlands business, which operates throughout the county, is building 690 homes at four developments over the next nine years, creating an estimated 1,650 jobs during the process.
The company’s Persimmon Heights in Bransford Road, Worcester, has been completed, whilst construction is underway at the City’s Hatton Grange site.
Work on Whittington’s Whittington Walk is also due to start soon.
Carol Selway, head of sales at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “This is a huge investment in Worcestershire and one that will have a hugely positive effect on the local economy.
“It’s our responsibility to aid the infrastructure of the local area and to help with growth of the City.”
