Boy, 16, robbed whilst walking along river tow path

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed by two men as he was walking along the tow path by the River Severn in Worcester.

He was walking towards Diglis and away from the city centre, along the tow path between the Cathedral and Diglis Hotel, at about 4.30pm on Tuesday (December 13) when he was approached by the two men.

They demanded his mobile phone and bag, taking his phone before leaving the area when they saw a passer by approaching.

The boy was uninjured during the robbery.




The two men have been described as Asian, aged in their early 20’s, of slim build and around 6ft tall. One was wearing a blue hooded tracksuit and had short, dark hair that was bushy at the front and had a black, stubble beard.

The second man was wearing a light grey hooded zip up top and black tracksuit trousers.


Police are keen to hear from the passer by, described as a white woman with blonde hair worn in a ponytail, as she could be an important witness.
