Body in River Severn believed to be missing city man

A BODY found in the River Severn close to the A4440 is believed to be missing Worcester man Karl Horton.

The man’s body was seen by a member of the public who reported it to police at approximately 8.45pm last night (Saturday).

The body was recovered from the water near to the A4440.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.




Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of missing man Karl Horton.

The 38 year-old was last seen in the city centre at about midnight on Monday (May 15).


Karl’s next of kin have been informed.
