FLANKER Sam Betty has illustrated his desire to play a key part in Warriors’ future after signing a new contract to remain at Sixways.

Betty has enjoyed the best form of his career under Director of Rugby Dean Ryan as he racked up an impressive 15 tries in as many matches this season.

The 28-year-old, who joined Worcester from Cornish Pirates in 2011, is also just ten games away from become the club’s latest centurion.

Betty said: “I am delighted to commit my future to a club which has grown enormously over the past 18 months.

“There is a clear direction at Warriors and I firmly believe that we are on a pathway to success.

“The players who have experienced the lows here really do recognise the progression we have made and I feel there are some very positive times ahead.

“I am focused on helping the club win promotion back to the Aviva Premiership and being part of an exciting journey.”
