A HOME and garden centre is set to close one of its branches in the city, leading to the loss of about 30 jobs.
Homebase on Bath Road confirmed it will shut its doors for the last time on Saturday, April 19, when its lease expires.
The brand is owned by the Home Retail Group and, following a consultation with colleagues over the past few weeks, they have decided to call time on their stay in St Peter’s.
A Homebase spokesman said: “We remain committed to serving the Worcester area.
“With our stores in Elgar Retail Park and Hylton Road, and three other stores in Worcester at our sister company Argos, discussions are taking place with affected colleagues to identify alternative working opportunities where possible.”
