Worcester man arrested and charged over firearm offence

A WORCESTER man was arrested on Monday in connection with a firearms offence.

It followed an incident at the Fairfield centre on Carnforth Drive in Worcester on Monday.

Martin Allen of Nibley Close, Worcester, who is 28, was charged with being in possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Redditch Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 252s of Monday, October 9.
