VOLUNTEERS at a Worcestershire armed forces charity were honoured for their tireless commitment throughout the pandemic.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity in Worcestershire hosted an event for 28 volunteers at the Diglis House Hotel to thank them for their tremendous support to the community.
Volunteers from the local branch were treated to lunch at the event and given the opportunity to come together and catch up on the last year. In attendance was the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Major General (Rtd) Mark Armstrong.
Tony Hacon, branch secretary at SSAFA Worcestershire, said: “The last year has been incredibly difficult for our volunteers, so we hope that this local event thanks them for their tremendous service to our Armed Forces community.
“We have also welcomed many new members to our team so it was a fantastic opportunity for our branch to get together and catch up.”
