CHILDREN and families supported by Acorns Children’s Hospice are set to benefit thanks to a charity partnership with Apex Medical Limited, the UK subsidiary of Apex Medical Corp.
The Worcester-based firm which manufactures pressure area care mattresses and profiling beds to both the community and acute settings are looking forward to ‘rolling their sleeves up’ and supporting Acorns in all manner of ways.
Mat Stratton, Greg Whelan and Sindy Jones are spearheading the new relationship with the aim of raising money through various activities including sponsored runs, gardening at the charity’s hospice in Worcester, an ambitious Scottish Highlands four-day cycle challenge and much more.
“Although we are a national brand supplying across the whole of the UK, we are thrilled to be able to offer our support for a very worthy local charity covering a large area of the Midlands,” Mr Whelan said.
“Most of the team at Apex Medical Ltd are parents so we can immediately associate with the parents of those poorly children that benefit from the care, support and commitment that Acorns offers them.”
