A WORCESTER theatrical school is launching a new programme of classes across the city.
All Sorts of Performing Arts will open its Warndon venue this term, as well as begin Saturday classes at Bishop Perowne CE College, which will give All Sorts the professional facilities needed to move students up to the next level in their respective disciplines.
St Martin’s Church Hall is another new venue to be launched in the expanded timetable, which is targeted towards youngsters aged 11 to 18 and will teach All Sorts’ diploma course, for those wanting to go into the performing arts world professionally.
Stuart Inglis, principal at All Sorts of Performing Arts, said: “The diploma courses offer three core options in dance, drama and creative arts.
“The course not only covers traditional skills, but certain routes offer trendier choices such as vlogging workshops, film and videography and stage makeup.
“Regular professional workshops are also launching in September with teachers from other top dance schools, including Pineapple Studios in London and the UK Dance Teacher of the Year.
“And students joining the school’s new formation team will have the opportunity to perform at national venues, including the Dance Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
“Open auditions for the team are held twice yearly, with the next one being Saturday, September 10 at Bishop Perowne CE College from 2.15pm.
“We’re also reaching out to other Worcester schools with our new inter-school fun competitions and want to reach out to those who might not otherwise see a production, such as in hospices and care homes, through a range of performances in their venues.”
Warndon classes will run on Thursdays and St Martin’s classes will run on Fridays.
