A WORCESTER based wealth management company celebrated half a century in business with an event at the home of cricket in Worcestershire.

Suckling Waddington and Partners (SWP), located on Malvern Road in St John’s, celebrated the landmark event with a party for staff, clients, and professional connections in the Graeme Hick pavilion at Worcestershire Cricket Club

The event was attended by more than 100 people, with a keynote speech delivered by Janet Mui, Head of Market Analysis at Brewin Dolphin. Janet is one of the UK’s leading economic experts and a regular macroeconomic media commentator, consistently appearing on the BBC, Sky News, and Bloomberg.

Gary Cowley, partner at SWP said: “We have been giving sound financial advice to people and businesses in Worcestershire since 1973, and my colleagues and I have enjoyed being able to celebrate our ’50 not out’ milestone with our friends and clients.

“Along with new customers, we are also working with the second or sometimes third generation of families that have been with us since the start, and we take great pride in knowing our advice stands the test of time and continues to ensure people achieve their financial ambitions.”

Suckling Waddington and Partners was named after the company’s two founding fathers, Roy Suckling and Nick Waddington.

Over the past 50 years the firm has built a strong reputation in Worcestershire and its client portfolio is built on recommendations and referrals from clients and professional contacts.

The company is an appointed representative of Warwickshire based MPA Financial Management, a Chartered and fully independent wealth management company.

SWP continues to evolve and ensure its staff are up to date with the latest market changes and rules and regulations brought about by shifts in Government policy.

The company is looking to the future and has invested in a new brand, website and back-office systems to help it communicate more effectively with existing clients.

“Our 50th anniversary is not only about celebrating our history, but also looking forward to the next 50 years. We want to ensure our company is here to support the next generation of Worcester families and businesses, and my colleagues and I are excited about the next stage in the history of SWP,” Mr Cowley added.
