A LEADING city recycling company has agreed a new commercial partnership deal with Worcester Warriors Rugby Club.
Blackpole Recycling, a 15-year-old family-run business which handles more than 10,000 tonnes of waste per month, will see its logo feature on the sleeve of Warriors’ home and away shirts for the next three years.
Jonathan Dew, managing director of the Blackpole Trading Estate company said: “Having been a fan of Warriors for a number of years and purchased advertising and hospitality packages in previous seasons, we’re excited about the club’s progress and want to offer our support to the team.
“There is an obvious synergy with both companies going from strength-to-strength and we like supporting local success stories.
“I know how important it is for a club like Warriors to work with local businesses like ourselves in order to help each other meet targets both environmentally and commercially.”
Leyton Williams, Warriors partnership manager said: “It gives me enormous pleasure to be able to welcome Blackpole Recycling onto our jersey.
“Not only will they be supporting the team by having their logo on the sleeve of the Warriors shirt, they will also be ensuring we cut down on our carbon footprint by recycling 97 per cent of the waste at Sixways.”
