WORCESTER Warriors appear to have solved their problems at prop with the capture of versatile front rower Jerome Schuster from Leicester Tigers.
The 28-year-old has joined the club as injury dispensation for loosehead prop Jeremy Becasseau, who has undergone surgery on a neck injury, until the end of the season.
The signing of Schuster, who is capable of playing either side of the scrum, also comes after director of rugby Dean Ryan confirmed Rob O’Donnell was his only fully-fit tighthead prop, with Jon Andress ruled out and Euan Murray still recovering from a four month lay off.
The former Perpignan star, who has won two caps for France, is expected to make his Warriors debut when they make the trip to Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership on Saturday (3pm).
Ryan said: “With the injury to John Andress and the fact that Euan Murray has only recently returned from a lengthy lay-off, it was important to bring in a tighthead prop for the rest of the season and I am delighted that we are able to recruit someone of Jerome’s experience.”
