WORCESTER Warriors have added further cutting edge to their back-line for next season with the signing of potent wing Tom Biggs from Bath

The 29-year-old, who has represented England at u21, Sevens and Saxons levels, will move to Sixways this summer as director of rugby Dean Ryan makes his 14th signing ahead of the 2014/15 campaign

Biggs had looked set to complete a cross code switch to Super League side Hull FC, but when the deal broke down Warriors stepped in to sign the experienced wing

And Biggs, who has scored 32 tries in 127 Premiership appearances, said he was looking forward to joining former Bath teammate Sam Vesty at Worcester

“I am excited about the challenge of joining Worcester,” Biggs said

“They are a very ambitious club but have not reached where they have wanted to be over recent seasons and I want to play a part in helping them achieve success

“I am looking forward to working with Carl Hogg again who I worked with at Leeds and with my ex-Bath teammate Sam Vesty

“When I met with Dean he was very honest about where the club were and where he wants to take it

He is also a fellow Staffordshire bull terrier owner and that was a deal breaker

Biggs made his Leeds debut in 2004 and was part of the side which claimed victory in the Powergen Cup Final at Twickenham in 2005

After becoming the Yorkshire club’s all-time leading try scorer with 51 tries, Biggs moved to Newcastle in 2009, before joining Bath the following summer

A regular for Bath during his time in the West Country, Biggs was the club’s top try scorer during the 2011/12 campaign and was also named Supporters’ Player of the Year

And Ryan believes Biggs’ experience in the top-flight will be invaluable to his side who are on the verge of dropping into the Championship

“Tom is an exciting player who has the ability to demonstrate flashes of brilliance and change the outcome of any match,” Ryan said

“He has been a consistent Premiership performer for a decade and when he became available to sign, it was an easy decision to make
