Warriors make two more signings

WORCESTER Warriors have further bolstered their squad for next season with signings of Munster lock Darren O’Shea and Le Pays d’Aix scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Bruzulier.

The duo, who are both aged 21, will join up with their new teammates in the summer as Warriors gear up for the start of the Championship.

O’Shea, who stands at 6ft 9in, came through the Munster youth system and Crosshaven RFC before making the move to senior club side Dolphin RFC.

The talented forward, who made his British and Irish Cup debut for Munster A last year, will battle it out with Dan Sanderson, James Percival and Mike Williams for a place in the second row and O’Shea said he was relishing the challenge.

“I would like to thank all the coaches and players at Munster for their support and encouragement in helping me develop as a player to date,” he said.

“However I am very keen to develop further and believe that playing regularly with Worcester is the right platform for me to bring on my game over the next few years.

“I am excited to be joining Warriors as they are a club which have placed a big emphasis on developing young players to build a successful team.

“I am really looking forward to working with Dean Ryan and all the coaches to progress as a player and I cannot wait to get started.”

Bruzulier, who has represented Wales at age-group level, helped Saracens to a runners-up place in the Premiership Seven Series in 2011 before moving to the French ProD2 in 2012.

The scrum half, who has also trained with Heineken Cup holders Toulon, said:  “I’m really pleased to be joining a big club like Worcester and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.

“I really believe that the project for the next couple of years is very exciting and I want to work hard and earn my place.”

Director of rugby Dean Ryan added: “Darren and Jean-Baptiste are examples of talented young players who are looking for surroundings which will enable them to maximise their potential and excel.

“They will have opportunities to progress in a competitive environment amongst a group of committed players who want this club to be successful.”
