WARRIORS winger Cooper Vuna has paid tribute to his back-three counterparts Bryce Heem and Chris Pennell and insisted they are ‘next level’ and should be playing international rugby.
The Sixways duo have received praise from pundits for their impressive recent displays, and Vuna believes they are among some of the best he’s ever played alongside.
“Bryce and Pens are up there with the best in the league. With the combinations I’ve been involved with in the past, those two are definitely up there at the top,” said the 28-year-old Vuna.
“They are another level and if it wasn’t for the people in front of them, they’d be in the Test squads. Pennell has to be considered in the England mix and Bryce could definitely be an All Black.”
And although admitting his frustration at the club’s recent run of form, Vuna believes his team are more than capable of beating the Aviva Premiership’s top sides.
“We have to move on quickly and hopefully we’ll get our reward,” he said. “We know we’re better than some of the other teams and we’ve certainly proved it in games, but haven’t necessarily got the result. We just have to finish teams off.”
