TITLE winning defender Mark Smith has become the latest arrival at Worcester City as the Blue and Whites prepare for the final pre-season game.
City travel to Halesowen Town on Saturday ahead of their FA Cup clash at Daventry which marks the season curtain raiser next weekend.
Smith has previously won the Midland Football League Premier Division with both Alvechurch and Tividale and has joined the club with the aim of doing the same with Worcester.
Joint manager Lee Hughes said “Smudger comes in with a wealth of experience and will give us a huge presence in the back line, we look forward to working alongside him for the new season”.
* City’s reverse festive clash with Bromsgrove Sporting has been moved to New Year’s Day instead of it’s original December 30 date.
The Blue and Whites will ‘host’ their landlords at the Victoria Ground on Boxing Day and both games will kick off at 3pm.
