WORCESTER City’s latest signing says he will be looking to build on his goal-scoring debut when his side travels to Stockport County tomorrow (Saturday, kick off 3pm).
Niall Thompson joined the Skrill North Conference side on a one-month deal, from League Two Torquay, and made an instant impact on his debut against Coventry Sphinx.
The pacey winger was instrumental in the 4-0 FA Cup victory claiming a goal and two assists, and said he is now looking to help push City up the league.
“I spoke to my manager and said I wanted to play some games and fortunately Worcester came in for me, I didn’t think twice about it, I had heard good things about the club,” he said.
“Hopefully while I am here we can move up the table and I can make an impact, we already have some great pace up front.
“Everything has been great so far, the staff and the players have made me feel very welcome.
“I was happy to score Saturday and hopefully there’s a lot more goals to come from me.”
