STAND-OFF Ryan Lamb is among the players set to leave Sixways after Worcester Warriors revealed the departures of 18 first-team players and five academy members.

Lamb, whose conversion kick against Bristol saw Warriors promoted to the Premiership in 2015, is among a host of big names heading to the exit as director of rugby Gary Gold readies his squad for next season.

Derrick Appiah, Tom Biggs, Connor Braid, Jaba Bregvadze, Mike Daniels, Ryan Grant, James Johnston, Na’ama Leleimalefaga, Auguy Slowik and Cooper Vuna are also leaving Sixways.

Tevita Cavubati is expected to join Newcastle Falcons while Phil Dowson will return to Northampton Saints as part of the coaching team.

Tiff Eden will join Nottingham Rugby while Val Rapava Ruskin and Chris Vui will make trips to the West Country with moves to Gloucester and Bristol respectively.

Academy members George de Cothi, Ben Fowles, Charlie Hewitt, Kailus Hutchinson and Sam Ripper-Smith are also leaving while first-teamers Sam Betty and Andy Short are retiring.

Warriors director of rugby Gary Gold said: “I would like to place on record my thanks to every departing player for their efforts on and off the pitch during their time at Sixways.

“We wish them the very best of luck in the future,” he added.
