GOAL-shy Worcester City have been dealt a blow in their fight for survival after striker Danny Glover decided to join Skrill Conference North rivals Bradford Park Avenue.
The 24-year-old, who started his career at Port Vale, was in his third season at the club – over two spells – scoring 27 goals in 99 games for Carl Heeley’s men.
The Avenue, who thrashed City 6-1 last Saturday, currently sit in 13th place and signed the striker after making a formal approach for him at the beginning of the week.
Glover goes straight into the squad to face Gloucester tomorrow (Saturday).
City manager Heeley said: “It has been a tough season for Danny and he is bitterly disappointed and frustrated with his goals return of three to date and a fresh challenge might do him good.
“I have a lot of time for the player and appreciate his loyalty in staying with the club during the summer, I would like to thank him for all his efforts and sincerely wish him the best of luck for the rest of this season and in his future career.”
