WORCESTER City have confirmed three players have announced their retirement from football following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.

Jamie Insall, Kyonn Evans and Connor Gater have all retired from the sport after helping Worcester win the Hellenic League Premier Division title last season.

Striker Insall announces his retirement at the age of 32-years-old and can look back at a career which included spells with Hibernian, East Fife, Connah’s Quay Nomads, Halesowen Town and Redditch United.

He won the League Cup and two Cymru Premier titles as well as playing in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League whilst with Connah’s Quay.

And Insall finished his career with his hometown club as he scored 23 goals in all competitions as Worcester celebrated a league and cup double.

Evans has also announced his retirement following a third spell with City.

He made 28 appearances for the club last season as Worcester ended their 23-year wait to lift some silverware.

And midfielder Gater has also confirmed his retirement after making 32 appearances last term.

Gater added another chapter to his City career following the club’s double success last season and also featured in the side which famously beat Coventry City in the FA Cup in 2014.
