A STRONG crew of 30 paddlers took to the water as Worcester Dragon Boat racing club competed in a British Dragon Boat Association event in Milton Keynes.
Despite the 24C heat, the Dragons raced along side 21 other crews in 200metre and 470metre distances before the ladies braved the midday sun to tackle their own 200metre race.
After a silver in the 200metre mixed plate, team members secured fourth place in the 470metre mixed crew event before the curtain came down on the competition as the ladies finished eighth overall.
Anyone who fancies making a splash from 11-years-old upwards is invited to sample three free training sessions with the club on a Wednesday or Thursday at 6.30pm.
Sessions are also held on a Sunday morning from 9.30am but residents are asked to check races are on before turning up.
