WORCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club’s have appointed Charlotte Thornton-Smith to the club’s board as a non-executive director.
Thornton-Smith is head of the Worcester office at HCR Law and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the club’s board.
Her legal background and leadership skills will contribute to the club’s strategic direction and governance off the pitch.
Thornton-Smith said: “I am honoured to join the board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
“Worcestershire County Cricket Club is a prominent local institution, and I am excited to bring my experience from HCR Law and knowledge of the local area to support the club’s growth and success.
“I look forward to working with my fellow board members and contributing to the vibrant future of Worcestershire.”
The club have also confirmed Tom Scott has stepped down from the board.
Scott said: “It has been a privilege to serve on the board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club, and serve as CEO before that.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the club will continue to thrive. I wish Charlotte and the rest of the board all the best for the future.”
Acting chair, Dave Baker, added: “We are deeply grateful to Tom for his invaluable service and commitment to the club. His insights and leadership have been greatly appreciated.
“At the same time, we are excited to welcome Charlotte Thornton-Smith to the board. Charlotte’s extensive experience and vision align perfectly with our goals for the future.”
Worcestershire expect to announce the appointment of a new chair soon.
