THE COUNTDOWN to the new campaign for Worcester City has continued with the club’s first friendly and their opponents in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup revealed.
Goals from summer signing Jordan Harrison and youth product Myles Simpson gave the Blue & Whites a 2-0 win at Malvern Town on Saturday, with John Snape’s men continuing their preparations with a clash with Worcester Raiders at Claines Lane on Saturday (3pm).
City have been given a bye into the first round of the FA Vase and face a trip to the West Midlands on August 11 to face Walsall Wood in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup.
The winners will then play Coventry Sphinx or Whitchurch Alport in the preliminary round on the weekend of August 25.
