WORCESTER City’s Midland Football League campaign has been plunged back into doubt after league chiefs called a halt until at least the end of January.
With a majority of clubs now in tier 4 areas and with City now playing in an area moved up to tier 3 all affected clubs cannot train or play matches.
Therefore the board have decided to immediately suspend all league fixtures until January 31, meaning another suspension a season littered with delays because of Covid-19.
City were due to play Haughmond on Saturday (January 2).
A MFL spokesman said: “We will continue to review the situation in line with further Government announcements and update you accordingly.”
