WORCESTER City will be looking to make it through to the final of the Worcestershire Senior Cup tonight (Tuesday) when they make the short trip to play Redditch United.
Manager Carl Heeley is likely to make wholesale changes to his starting XI for the game, with three crucial fixtures at home to Vauxhall Motors, Stockport County and Histon all within the next week.
With injuries surging through the squad, the City boss has admitted he will use the game as an opportunity to blood some of the youngsters from the academy, and give some of the fringe players a chance to shine.
James Lemon and Max Crisp, who were both named on the substitutes bench in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at North Ferriby United, are in line to make the starting line-up.
Redditch go into the game on a five-game unbeaten run, including back-to-back league wins, and are currently 10th in the Southern Calor League Premier.
Ahead of the tie, Heeley said: “The unfortunate situation we’re in is we can’t afford to pick up injuries to key players because we’ve got a massive week just afterwards.
“Of course, we always try to win every game we play but on the same score we’ve got to be sensible and not risk derailing all the hard work we’ve done in 2014.”
The winners of the last-four clash will face Evesham United in the final.
