OLI Shier became the first player to retain the Worcester Badminton League Division One title.
Shier achieved 3-0 wins over Steve Turberfield, Jeremy Swift and Hassan Javed but suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Chris Alexander.
These results were enough to keep Shier ahead of Santi Rajaraman, who finished second following 3-0 victories against Swift, Javed and Sinoj Sebastian.
Javed lost 3-0 to Sebastian and 2-1 to Carl Fordham but managed to take third place thanks to 2-1 wins over Swift and Alexander.
Ganesh Pillai, Neil Darwell and Craig Burns are promoted from Division Two with Pillai and Darwell returning to the top division at the first attempt.
Pillai won 3-0 against Darwell, Burns, Steve Wilson and Kashif Ali while Darwell beat Wilson, Burns and Ali by the same score, as well as losing 3-0 to Zillur Rahman.
Burns achieved his third promotion in four seasons by beating Ali and Wilson 2-1, but lost 3-0 to Stu Taylor and 2-1 to Josh Andersen.
Robert Appleby dropped just two games in seven matches on his way to finishing top of Division Three.
Laura Leach and Ryan Houlston were the only players to trouble Appleby, each losing 2-1 while he beat everyone else 3-0.
Jack Davies came second as a result of 3-0 victories over Leach and Neil Harding and beating Maria Harrison 2-1.
Dean Hardie clinched the final promotion spot by beating Davies 2-1 and Harding and Beth Brown each 2-1.
Ali regained the Superleague title he first won in May thanks to wins against Amanda Blockley, Miriam Durgut, Daniel Budil, Wilson, Appleby and Harding.
Appleby came a point behind in second despite losing 3-0 to Darwell, who finished third.
Season seven is now under way and the league welcomes players of all standards with new members able to take to the court immediately.
