BROADWAY won the first knockout final in this year’s Wychavon Parish Games with victory in the ladies’ darts against neighbours Bretforton.
The event was held and sponsored by the Valkyrie Bar as Broadway took an early lead and won a couple of close games to secure a 3-0 win.
And Broadway are also through to the crib finals, sponsored by Broadway Parish Council, where they will face either Eckington or Pebworth.
In the men’s darts, sponsored by KC Carpets, Badsey will meet the winners of the clash between Offenham and Bretforton in the final.
The semi-finals in the dominoes, sponsored by Glassier Windows, will be played between Pinvin and Evesham Bengeworth and Wick and Bretforton.
And Bretforton are also through to the finals of the pool, sponsored by Kanes Foods, where they will meet either Wyre Piddle or Badsey.
The last of the one-day events takes place next Sunday, October 9 at St Egwin’s CofE Middle School, with the senior table tennis, sponsored by Beswicks, taking place in the morning, and the junior event, sponsored by Vic Haines Transport, taking place in the afternoon.
The presentation evening, which will be attended by the Chairman of Wychavon District Council, Coun Alex Sinton, will take place on Wednesday, November 23 at Bengeworth Club, Coronation Street Evesham.
