TALENTED city golfer Hayden Sarfo added to his impressive list of golfing achievements when he won the British Kids Under-9s trophy.
Over two days on the tricky Bracken Course at Woodhall Spa, Hayden, who plays at Worcester Golf & Country Club’s Boughton Park course, shot 139 (-5) to win his age group at the British Kids Championship, which is sponsored by US Kids Golf.
The event attracted qualifiers from all over the world with Hayden beating players from Switzerland, France, Mexico and Italy, as well as the best the UK could offer.
He had a four-hole birdie streak in his first round of -5, which put him at the head of the field after day one and he then had a steady par round on day two to complete his success in finishing five shots ahead of Bristol’s Jaxson Perry and Edinburgh’s Fraser Walters who tied as runners-up.
Fourth spot went to Max Mieschke from Zurich, Switzerland, on 146.
