Your Worcester bin collections over Christmas

DOMESTIC bin collections in Worcester will run as normal over Christmas with no changes to collection days.

Bins will also be collected on the normal days in the following week, commencing January 2.

Anyone who needs to check which day their black or green bin will be collected can use the City Council’s bin round look-up service at https://selfserve.worcester.gov.uk/wccroundlookup/wcc_search.jsp.

Large cardboard boxes, Christmas cards (except glitter ones) and wrapping paper (excluding foil or glittery paper) can be recyled. Tin foil and tinsel need to go in the black bin.




There will be some minor changes to the commercial collections used by many Worcester businesses, with commercial non-recyclable waste collections for Monday, December 26 to take place on Tuesday (December 27) and commercial recycling waste collections for Monday December 26 taking place on Wednesday (December 28).

Commercial non-recyclable waste collections for Monday, January 2 will take place on Tuesday, January 3. Commercial recycling waste collections for Monday, January 2 will take place on Wednesday, January 4.


There will be no bulky waste collections on December 27, December 29, and January 3. These will start again on Tuesday, January, 10. Bulky waste collections can be booked at www.worcester.gov.uk/bulky-household-waste

Collection of white goods will resume on Thursday 5 January.
