Works to begin on London Road tomorrow to fix Fort Royal 'bulging wall'

Worcester Editorial 19th Sep, 2022   0

WORK to repair the ‘bulging’ wall on London Road will begin tomorrow (Tuesday) with temporary traffic lights in place for up to six weeks.

Green Hill London Road will be closed one-way towards London Road and motorists are being warned to expect delays.

Part of the pavement on London Road, alongside Fort Royal Park, has been temporarily closed so repairs can be carried out to a damaged wall.

The closure has been put in place so that repairs can be made to the retaining wall of Fort Royal Park

The eight ft wall directly adjoins the park and has been slowly bulging out into the footpath over the last six months.
