WORCESTERSHIRE libraries have partnered with the University of Worcester for ‘Study Happy’.
In May and June, libraries will be hosting various events to promote self-care, the scheme aims at helping students reach their academic goals whilst stating healthy.
‘Study Happy’ gives students a free place to study with computers, resources and wifi – as well as Study Happy Hour, which includes therapy dogs, lego building, book bingo or mindfulness colouring and mini games.
Coun Karen May, cabinet member for communities at Worcestershire County Council, said: “Whilst you are studying, we understand that it can be stressful and overwhelming, and our libraries are there, not just to offer resources that will enable you to study, but a range of help and support to ensure you achieve the right balance of studying and self-care during the exam season.
“Our Study Happy partnership with the University of Worcester supports academic success and also encourages overall wellness.”
The Study Happy programme also offers research, referencing, and information gathering help from the University of Worcester, giving access to expert advice and guidance.
The free Study Happy programme is open to all students across the county.
