Worcester will host a Circus with a BSL interpreter

AN INCLUSIVE Circus performance is coming to Worcester with a BSL interpreter.

The Circus Starr will have every show signed in British Sign Language to make performances more accessible.

The not for profit organisation was the first Circus to include an interpreter and have decided to carry on the service throughout their Autumn tour.

Having an BSL signer allows deaf members of the audience will be involved in all aspects of the performances.

Circus Starr events are held especially for children who are disabled, have additional learning needs, or are disadvantaged.

Fundraising director Michelle Crossley said: “We love sharing our fun events with those who usually miss out.

“Whilst our show is very visual, it is important to us that those who are deaf can enjoy the performance in its entirety, and we are proud to have the interpreters at each of our shows to help make that possible.

“Thank you so much to the kind businesses who help us continue our valuable work.”

The performances will be held at 4.45pm and 7.00pm at Swan Theatre on Monday September 9 2024.
