A CAT owner in Pershore has shared her delight after seeing her pet gain a new lease of life following treatment in Worcester.

Carol Reading’s 15-year-old cat, Poppet, is back to his old self after receiving treatment for mobility issues at Brentknoll Veterinary Centre.

When Poppet arrived at the centre he was very wobbly on his back legs. He was staggering, unable to jump and was not responding to medication.

After various treatments including hydrotherapy, chiropractic adjustment, laser therapy, masssage, exercise and rehabilitation.

Carol was ‘delighted’ with the dramatic transformation and is full of gratitude for the whole Brentknoll team. She said: “I really feared I was losing him.

“That was hard. We had hand-reared him since he was just two days old and he’s so very tolerant and loving. That’s why I wasn’t ready to give up on Poppet, so I started investigating.

“Then I learned about Brentknoll and the care they gave to Poppet was beyond words.

“It’s all worked so well that he’s now back climbing trees and catching mice again.”

Brentknoll’s clinical director, Rikki Burford, who devised Poppet’s non-surgical treatment plan was also delighted with his progress.

Rikki said: “The response has been excellent. He is much more spritely and his muscle tension is markedly reduced in both hindlimbs. We’re very pleased.”
