TWO people from Worcester have been arrested after a drugs warrant this morning (Wednesday).
West Mercia Police carried out a warrant at a property in Chedworth Drive in Warndon, following concerns about drug dealing.
Officers found a quantity of class B drugs (cannabis) with an estimated value of over £1,000.
Mobile phones and cash, estimated over £500 were also seized by officers as well as three baseball bats and a Rambo style knife in the property
A 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dealing class B drugs.
Police Constable Steve Chance from Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: “A man and a woman have been arrested at the address after a drugs warrant we executed this morning.
“Quantities of drugs, money and weapons were recovered from the address and the arrested persons remain in custody while enquiries are continuing.
“The Warndon community can help us by continuing to report any signs of criminal activity to us – the easiest way to do this is on our website. Any bit of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help make a big difference.”
This investigation is part of Operation Target – West Mercia Police’s work to tackle serious and organised crime.
