CITY youngsters were in fine voice at Worcester Cathedral last week as RGS Worcester schools presented their annual choral concert.
The enchanting evening, themed ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, saw over 350 musicians from RGS Schools take part in the concert.
Performances began with renditions of jazz classics from RGS Springfield and RGS The Grange Prep Choirs.
The RGS Worcester Junior Choir followed this trip back to the 50s with an interpretation of Will Todd’s ‘All Will Be Well’.
The RGS Dodderhill Prep, Senior and Chamber Choirs embraced multiculturalism by performing a series of songs from across the globe.
The evening reached its crescendo with a rendition of ‘Sing Sing Sing’ by the 40-strong RGS Worcester Orchestra.
Following this, the Vermont High School Touring Choir collaborated with RGS’s chamber group to deliver a captivating performance of a ‘Scottish Folksong’.
The concert’s grand finale saw all 350 singers, from Year Five upwards, unite in harmony to present a jubilant rendition of Abba’s ‘Dancing Queen’.
