A WORCESTER man has been charged with drug dealing in the city.

Scott Lannie, 34, of Back Lane South, Worcester has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of criminal property.

He was charged following an arrest by the South Worcestershire County Lines team yesterday (Tuesday).

Lannie was arrested after officers from Proactive CID swooped on an address in Back Lane South.

A quantity of class A drugs and drug paraphernalia were found there.

Lannie was remanded to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).

The arrest followed community concerns about drug dealing.

Det Sgt Kristoffer Stevens of South Worcestershire Proactive CID said: “We take such concerns very seriously and will always act on information shared with us to keep our streets safe from the harmful impact that drugs have on our city.”
