TWO MEN were arrested and £600 worth of crack cocaine was seized when police stopped a car in Worcester.

Officers from Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) spotted the pair acting suspiciously in a black car yesterday (Thursday).

Around £1,500 in cash was also found in the vehicle during the stop on Goldsmith Road.

The two men – aged 22 and 26 – were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

One was bailed pending further investigations and the other is set to be deported as he was in the country illegally.

Sgt Brian Simpkins, from Warndon SNT, praised the officers involved for taking the drugs off the streets and protecting the community.

And he said: “We do not tolerate drug dealing in Warndon and if you do so, you will be caught and brought to justice.”
