A NEW film featuring Worcester cycling legend Tracy Moseley will be coming to Malvern Theatres next week.

‘Chasing The Sun’, which will be screened at 8pm on Monday, April 22, features the four-time mountain bike world champion.

The film had its premiere at Kendal Mountain Festival and is now touring the UK at independent cinemas.

After the screening, there will be a special panel question and answer session hosted by former Mountain Bike World Cup commentator Dan Jarvis.

Tracy Moseley, who will also be on the panel, made history as the first-ever British woman to win a World Cup.

She said: “Cycling gives me a connection with the outdoors and nature and it’s an amazing way to move self-propelled.

“I had my first bike at age four, it’s my life and identity.

“I am thrilled to be involved with such a thought-provoking film about all the good the bicycle can bring to our lives and our planet.

“Back in August, we did the filming with my dad and my son. Only a few weeks before this my dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, but he was adamant he still wanted to ride and do the filming.

“The e-bike brought together riding with my 79-year-old dad and with my son aged five, something truly special and even more so now as I treasure this footage.”

‘Chasing The Sun’ has been directed by two-time BAFTA-winning director Michael B Clifford and features contributions from broadcaster and ITV’s voice of the Tour de France Ned Boulting and author and blogger Jools Walker among others.

Community group Bike Worcester will be supporting a group bike ride from Worcester to Malvern for the screening.

A Bike Bus group ride will leave Diglis Bridge at 6pm and travel to Malvern Theatres.
