Man arrested after Worcester collision which led to death of six-year-old boy

A MAN was arrested yesterday (March 14) following a fatal collision in Worcester which led to the death of a six-year-old boy.

The collision happened around 3pm on the A44, Spetchley Road when a grey BMW 3 series collided with a white Ford Mondeo.

The driver of the Mondeo, a woman aged 26, and the passenger, a woman aged 39 were pronounced dead at the scene.

The six-year-old boy, who was also in the Mondeo, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but also died shortly after arrival.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death whilst uninsured.

He was also arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
