A CHANCE to see original artwork by city students is on offer at the University of Worcester later this month.
The Arts Degree Show is an annual event where students showcase their work and is a celebration of their time at the University’s School of Arts.
The week-long event will get under way on Friday, May 24 at the University’s Art House on Castle Street.
This follows the opening night of the Degree Show the evening before when the student’s family and friends will come together with industry professionals to see the work on display from students.
The show will feature work from across a variety of disciplines including animation, illustration, graphic design and fine art.
The Art House will be open between 10am and 4pm during the week following opening night.
The University’s Head of the School of Arts, David Broster said: “This is first and foremost a celebration of the students’ work.
“It is not austere, or formal, and is an opportunity for friends, family and the public to come in, have a look around and enjoy the work.
“For the students, this is the culmination of all the years spent developing ideas and techniques and the chance to showcase their finished work.”
“It’s a key moment for the artists, they’ve worked hard over the years building to this and it is a significant step up for everyone when the work is viewed and commented on by the public and professionals.”
