A WORCESTER man has been jailed for 28 months for breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

Eric William Lively, 56, of Broad Street was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court last Friday (February 24).

He was found guilty of breaching the order after he made unsupervised contact with a child under the age of 16.

Lively was handed the order back in April 2010 following his conviction, and four year prison sentence, for sexual activity with a child, voyeurism and taking indecent photographs of a child.

A new Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also granted at court and includes the following prohibitions; Lively must have contact with any child under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult who has full knowledge of your conviction, and with the express approval of Children’s Services within the area the child lives, other than that which is inevitable in everyday life.

He must also not undertake any paid, voluntary, or recreational activity which is likely to bring him into contact with persons under the age of 16.

And he must not take any photographs or making any images of children under the age of 16, except with the consent of their parent or guardian who has full knowledge of Lively’s conviction.
