A WORCESTER man has died in a house-fire in the city centre on Saturday.
Crews were called to fire on Southfield Street, at around 2.40pm – two ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and a BASICS doctor attended the scene.
Crews found a man in critical condition who has been rescued from the fire, staff gave life support on scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: “Despite everyone’s best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead on scene a short time later.”
Four crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue tackled the blaze.
