A CITY man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of class-A drugs in Worcester.
Police launched a joint operation this afternoon using intelligence gathered over the weekend, which led to the 33-year-old from the city being located and arrested just before 1pm on Angel Street in Worcester city centre.
A spokesperson for Worcester Safer Neighbourhood Team said the action follows increased suspected drug dealing in and around the St Andrew’s Gardens and riverside area.
He added patrols would continue in the area as part of the crackdown.
“We will seek to work with our partners and the community to protect the public from the impact and harm of drugs, particularly where suspected dealing takes place near educational establishments, licensed premises and areas popular with families.”
